What they say:

Relaxing: The natural scent of rose helps realize relaxation and nice sleep. And skin becomes receptive to nutrients and moisture from skincare products.
Anti-Oxidant : Newly added Licorice Extract and Vitamin E avoid skin from oxidation and provide skin with extra moisture overnight."

What I say:
So what exactly is a "Sleeping mask"? well supposedly, it's there to provide your skin with continuous moisture while you're asleep - good thing for those of us who sleep in ACed or heated rooms. Oh and it also doubles as a sexy time killer. I don't know if this is true of all sleeping masks, but this O'slee one never dries and just remains sticky until you wash it off the next morning >__&gt. So unless your SO happens to be turned on by rose scented goo, I would only take it out he goes camping with his buddies to that godforsaken place by the river where tripped out teens have conversations with their imaginary dog outside your tent the whole night, the same teen then ask you if you want a "throw down" when you ask them to move, and where there is no toilet, just a never ending pit where you can't even hear the splash...
Basically, you spread the product onto your clean face just before you pop off to bed. Why not before then? because you don't wanna look like you just clawed your way out the stomach of that blue singing alien from the Fifth Element when your in laws, who recently moved into the same complex as you, just happen to pop by unannounced with a tupperware of watermelon.

Right, where was I again? Oh yes, so you slap it on before bed, and then you just leave it on to work its magic while you sleep.
Exactly what magic does it do? I'm not quite sure to be honest. For me personally, all it did was hydrate. In the morning, my skin is visibly plumped up and feels very smooth. Did it clarify my skin and neutralise my "toxins"? hmmm...not quite sure, but the first night that I used it, the next morning I did wake up with a few tiny white heads which could mean that it's clearing out my skin...but I'm not entirely convinced that waking up to white heads is a good thing -__- although they did disappear in a day. No more breakouts after that.
Is there any reason why this HAS to be left on overnight? other than the fact that it's called a "sleeping mask" that is, because I'd imagine it to be absolutely brilliant to store it in the fridge to be used when coming home from a hot summer's day - and rinsed off afterwards! Actually,  I think that's exactly what I'm gonna do!

Excuse the bloodshot eyes, I've been really pooped lately.

$13 for two 50ml tubs at Cosme-de with free shipping with any sized order.
$14.20 for two 50ml tubs at with flat rate shipping of $16 for orders under $100
If you're in Asia, Manning pharmacies sell these.
Try it if you're looking for a hydrating gel mask and don't mind the mess. Otherwise stick it in the fridge and use it as a rinse off cooling mask.

  1. i have 2 sleeps masks which i find myself hardly picking up - one from laneige and the other is arouge. The don't actually leave a sticky film like the O'slee. I was surprised to hear that the O'slee sleeping mask doesn't dry up! I like to put pimple on before I sleep.. I guess that's the reason why I don't use sleep masks. I think I'd more hydrated if I picked up more often! lol. nice review!

  2. Yeah I own the Laneige one and it doesn't leave a sticky film like Nic Nic said. I put a thin layer and it quickly absorbs into my skin..but I wash it off after 30 -40 mins. I could sleep with it on but I have noticed that I wake up to white heads in the morning.

Anyways, this O'slee brand seems like a good deal. Thanks for the review!!

  3. i have no experience with sleeping masks so i am afraid i cannot share any words of wisdom like the two ladies above me

i just wanted to say LOL to the two paragraphs before the cough cough dot dot dot yeah

    and of course its tupperware
because bringing an uncut watermelon is just not how asians roll

    love your blog, fo'real

  4. I've never tried sleeping mask before but I'm tempted to get one. too bad it's sticky but at least it's hydrating :)

  5. I recently tried a new beauty product that on the market called Chiqui Beaute-Mud to Go facial mud masks. This product comes with two different masks- one for lightening old scars and the other for clearing pores, smoothing skin, and preventing breakouts. I used to break out around my t-zone and chin area, but after using these masks for a few of months, I am seeing a big change in my skin's texture and appearance. My skin is smoother and less flaky and my acne has gotten much, much better. It only takes me 15 minutes out of my week to get better skin. Since I travel a lot, these masks have helped me to relax without spending time and money going to a spa. My mom, who has dark spots from sun exposure, has also been using the lightening mask. The pigmentation on her face has faded a great deal since using the product. Tanning at the beach without sunscreen when I was younger has caused me to have sunspots on my face, but after using the lightening mask, my spots have faded substantially. I highly recommended these masks for all ages as they work against acne (for teens and adult acne sufferers) and contains anti-aging elements for those who want to prevent lines and wrinkles. This is one of the few products that I've seen on the market that is paraben-free and comes in packets that enable the product to stay fresh. This product may be a bit pricey, but the great results that come with it are definitely worth it. Their website is Since my friend recommended this product to me, you can use this coupon code "J10DOLLAROFF" that gives customers $10 off.

  6. swallow's nest in an edible gel form is supposed be good for the skin too. it gives that clear and pasty skin that we all love.

it's mad expensive. my brother and i bought some for my mom for her birthday. it was like 400 bucks for like a 6-8 oz jar. Luckily we finally found the one of popular brand online ( and

dad said it's really popular in indonesia. that a guy has to climb a high mountain to get the nest. that's why it's so expensive.

i mean why doesn't the dude just look for the fabled korean swallow king, capture it and let it lay eggs full of gold! then, he wouldn't have to work so hard and climb them high mountains.
