HadaLabo Gokujyun Moisturising Cream review

Damage:
$17.70 for 50g from Sasa.com
They sez:
"HadaLabo GOKUJYUN Moisturizing Cream is infused with super hyaluronic acid which deeply penetrates into skin. It keeps on moisturizing and replenishing skin, meanwhile enhancing skin’s water-binding ability, leaving skin supple, smooth and radiant. The gel texture helps to further nourish skin. Weak acid, no fragrance, no colorant, no oil and is alcohol-free."
Nunu sez:
I needed a lighter nighttime moisturiser for the Summer months and since the Hadalabo hyaluronic acid lotion is my HG lotion I thought I'd give their moisturising cream a try.
The name is a bit misleading, it's not really a cream in the traditional sense, but it's not exactly a gel either, it's more like...a thick lotion, it's rather runny and absorbs easily with no greasiness. What an awesome run-on sentence!
It feels really light but leaves my skin really hydrated, soft and bouncy. There is some initial stickiness after application but the feeling goes away after a few minutes.
There's really no bangs and whistles with this moisturiser, no whitening properties, no spf, no anti-aging, no fancy ingredients, but it does what it promises to do well.
The packaging is a bit of a dud, it is just a simple white plastic jar and for some reason the label on my jar got rubbed off -_____-"
Caveat emptor to those who freak out when skin care come in jars - yes you will have to dip your fingers into the jar.

Finally nailed this move a few weeks back!
Sorry about the lack of posts, it's been a busy Summer, will try to get back into the groove of things soon. In other exciting news, I'm off to Hawaii for 10 days in a couple of weeks! Apart from spam musubi (I don't eat pork), is there anything else you recommend I try out there? It's probably a tourist trap but I'm going to a luau on my second night there, tres excited!

  1. This moisturizer was very sticky for me, the HA just would not absorb! But it was very moisturizing =)

Hawaiian ahi poke - it's basically diced raw tuna but very local and good if you like sashimi! Coming from Vancouver, I'm sure you do!

OMG you have some amazing pole dancing moves!!!

  5. I agree with Kiliani and try garlic shrimp from Giovanni's truck. It's the best out on the North Shore. Leonards Malasadas are a must too! It's a portuguese donut--so yummy! I don't like regular donuts but will eat malasadas. If you're staying in Waikiki, try Marukame Udon. I just went there and it was yummy and inexpensive. Please be sure to let me know when you're here. Hopefully we can meet up.

    1. I'm going to Kona and Honolulu! I'm still not very clued up on the geography of Hawaii (only recently did I learn that it's actually a series of islands and not a single island called "Hawaii" xD)
I'm going to be there from 21-31 September! I hope we can meet up
