ebeauty.ca and Citytv Canada day celebration.

I was kindly invited by Sheila of Maddy Loves to tag along as her date for the ebeauty.ca and Citytv Canada Day celebration.
I must admit, before I got the invite, I'd never even heard of ebeauty.ca. Yes, see yonder rock? I live under it.
To my delight, it's like a Canadian version of Sephora! Makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrances, everything your vain little hearts desire. In addition to well known Canadian brands such as Vasanti, Balmshell and Cargo, they also stock brands that are hard to find in Canada such as Jemma Kidd, Paul & Joe (!!!) and much much more.
I'm so happy that there's finally a Canadian based website that stocks such diverse variety of brands and products! I have always refrained from ordering from Sephora due to their elevated Canadian prices and high shipping costs. ebeauty.ca regularly charges a flat rate of $7.95 for Canada Post shipping and $14.95 for ground courier on orders under $75, however, they currently have a limited time offer where you get free shipping with any order over $25! I find that a very reasonable rate, if you've ever shipped packages within Canada, you'll know how pricey it gets!
Enough babble, onwards to photos of the night.
I got very familiar with this table:
I love peonies xD
Swag bags! I'll show you what's in them a bit later
Thank you very much Katie for inviting us and for the great evening!
Katie and her colleague.

Haha, his name is Clinton, and he is Canada's BETTER comedy magician xD
nommy food!
Michelle and our waitress. She was SUPER sweet! Thank you for bringing us so many rounds of food xD
The scallops that disappeared into Sheila's mouth.
The crowd.

Awesome cocktails
Sheila stuffing her face. Again.
Michelle discovering the wonders of bar code scanning.
Michelle happy as a clam with her swag.
The amazing swag. Don't worry, I'll be sure to try everything out (except the golf balls xD) and write about it!
Thank you very much Katie and ebeauty for the awesome event and for the gifts! I hope we will get an opportunity to work together in the future!

  1. It's awesome that the site is like a Canadian Sephora. I've heard a lot of bloggers talk about the high shipping cost to Canada. The blogger event looked fun. I'm interested to see f Gosmile is effective. :)

  3. What a fun event!! So jealous of your free swag, all the swag I've gotten is crappy for the most part, like coupons (what I have to spend to get something?!). Random question, but does your Michelle write for the Georgia Straight? Cuz she looks very similar to the Michelle I know who does haha

  5. That sounded like a lot of fun, especially swag bags. Can't wait for you to show us what you got. There are some pretty amazing things in those - I've only gotten on once for a women's magazine I interned at for a few weeks.
