Holla holla, dollaz dollaz.

The Holla Dollaz series are entries which focus on budget buys which make my Inner Fob smirk in satisfaction .

Daiso. I love that place. Ask the Pookie, I'm like the fat kid in Willie Wonka's chocolate factory every time  we go. I generally whine about needing bubble tea/cream puffs/shaved ice from Aberdeen in order to get the Pookie to go there. This time, it was under the guise of buying 'stuff for the kitchen'. Hee! Me so devious!

Without further ado, I present to you, the $2 makeup remover sheet:

Each sheet is 200mm x 80mm big.

I present to you my made up eye.

Wipe once.

What came off after 1 wipe.

After about 3 gentle wipes.

The Lowdown:

  • $2 for 40 sheets.

  • Took 2 sheets to get my whole face clean.

The Good:

  • Good packaging, the hard plastic lid keeps the sheets hygienic and moist.

  • Sheets had decent thickness.

  • No need to scrub.

  • Removed my mascara.

  • Left my face moisturised.

  • Similar sheets from Garnier and L'Oreal sell for $8 for a pack of 30.

The Ugly:

  • Hard to pull sheets out of the opening! I land up with like 2 or 3 sheets every time!

  • Sheets too narrow. I guess cos they were designed for removing eye make-up. Next time I'm gonna look and see if they have sheets for removing face make-up.

Would I buy again? Hell yeah! They work great, and you can't beat the price!

  1. I use baby wipes to remove my makeup. It works like a charm and cheap, too. I don't have any Asian shops like that in my place, otherwise I could have found something similar.
